Brooklawn Country Club is proud to offer a family-oriented full service club with one of the best golf courses in the Northeast and the nation. Whether you are attending a major championship, a private event, or joining a member for a round of golf, we hope you enjoy the Club and our treasured amenities. Below is some important information that will help you enjoy your visit to Brooklawn.
Upon arrival, guests should drive directly toward the club house, keeping the main building on your right the bag drop/cart staging area will be straight ahead. There will be an attendant on duty who will take your golf bags and assist you. Upon departure, golf bags will be picked up in the same area.
On occasion, you may not have clubs in your possession. Please let us know, and we will be happy to provide you a set of our rental clubs for a nominal fee. We have invested in quality, name-brand clubs to serve your needs. Shoes should not to be changed in the parking lot. Please come to the Men’s or Women’s Locker Room where our locker room attendants will be happy to show you to your locker, get you a beverage and show you our facilities.
The use of a cell phones is prohibited anywhere in the Clubhouse and on the Club property, except for silent use. Courteously and discreetly using a cell phone for incoming and outgoing calls is permissible in private meeting rooms, locker rooms and parking lots.
The following applies to adults and children of any age on the golf course, the practice putting green and the practice range: Blue jeans of any style, short-shorts or mini-skirts, cut-offs, tank tops, bathing suits, cargo pants and shorts, tennis apparel or men’s and boys shirts without collars are not permitted.
Shirttails must be tucked in. Bermuda length shorts are acceptable. Only spikeless golf shoes and rubber soled shoes are permitted. Gentlemen are not permitted to wear hats in the clubhouse except in the pro shop and locker room areas. Caps must be worn bill forward. Leggings are only allowed under a skirt or skort - They are not allowed to be worn on their own. The Golf Professional or his Designee has been authorized to strictly enforce this code.
Brooklawn Country Club is a walking course and we have experienced caddies available. This great Tillinghast layout can be best appreciated on foot. If you choose to take a cart, please consider a forecaddie. Gregor Stegor and his staff will arrange for one.
No one under 18 years of age may operate a cart. No more than two occupants per cart. Please use the cart paths where available. Do not park or drive carts near the greens (30 feet) or approaches to the greens. Carts are provide with a sand/seed mix to be poured into divot holes or to touch up a replaced divot. Pull carts are not allowed.
All players must repair their ball marks on the greens, replace their divots and rake traps.
Pace of Play
Even though our course is more difficult than most, slow play is frowned upon. Please be prepared to play in 4 hours or less. In keeping with this practice, please be ready to play your next shot (e.g., determine what club you will use for your next shot while the other players in your group are hitting). When you reach the green, please fix your ball mark and line up your putt while the others are putting. Player Assistance will monitor the pace of play and assist members and guests throughout the round, as needed. Always carry an extra ball. Be ready to hit when it is your turn and feel free to play ready golf. Play from the tee box that fits your skill level. If uncertain of club selection, please take two or three clubs with you to the ball.
